Esther Ferrer x Contemporanea
 

Spanish artist Esther Ferrer has created 'Elle était là' (She was there), a new limited edition to celebrate 25th Anniversary of Contemporanea. Release on March 1st, this beautiful jewel box includes 5 photographs printed on acetate and 3 color backgrounds. The transparency of the background of acetates allows creating hundreds of new and different combinations by a simple gesture. Esther Ferrer proposes a gameboard with no rules and the owner of the work decides its final form, that can still change more and more. Who decides the end of the game and the outcome will be the owner of the artwork. The measure of each work is 28 x 36 cm (11.02 x 14.17"). The prints are signed and numbered by the artist and a poem by Esther Ferrer and a text by writer Eduard Escoffet are included in the box. There are only 150 copies + 10 A.P.'s of the edition. Esther Ferrer (San Sebastian, 1937) is a world benchmark for performance and conceptual art. National Art Prize and Velazquez Prize, among other awards, her work has been exhibited worldwide and it is part of the most important museum collections.

La artista española afincada en París Esther Ferrer ha creado "Elle était là / Ella estaba allí", una nueva edición limitada para Contemporánea que se pondrá a la venta el próximo 1 de marzo. "Elle était là" es una edición que conmemora el 25 aniversario de Contemporánea y se presenta en una bonita caja, cuyo contenido está compuesto por 5 fotografías sobre acetato y 3 fondos de color, acompañada de un poema de la artista y un texto de Eduard Escoffet. La transparencia de los acetatos ofrece las posibilidades de un gesto que ejecutará el receptor de esta obra de arte permitiéndole crear cientos de combinaciones nuevas y diferentes mediante la unión/desunión o aislamiento de las imágenes entre ellas o fusionándolas con los fondos de color que se ofrecen. Con esta edición Esther Ferrer propone un tablero de juego sin reglas en el que el poseedor de la obra será, pues, quien decida su forma final, que puede seguir cambiando cuanto se le antoje. En un año de encierros y miedos, nada más ni nada menos que el contagio de un gesto para que no nos quedemos sentados, sin silla, esperando en vano. Cada obra tiene unas medidas de 28 x 36 cm y la edición está limitada a tan solo a 150 ejemplares y 10 P.A., y firmada y numerada por la artista. Esther Ferrer (San Sebastian, 1937) es un referente mundial de la performance y el arte conceptual. Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas y Premio Velázquez, entre otros galardones, su obra ha sido expuesta y está representada en los museos más importantes del mundo.
