Painter. Wes Humpston is perhaps most well known as the artist
to draw and design the original Dogtown skateboards throughout
the 1970s. In 1975, Humpston started the skateboard company
Dogtown Skates with Jim Muir. His unique drawing style, linking
Mexican gang graffiti and Eastern mysticism, helped to establish
a graphic style that has been widely imitated since. He continues
to create original drawings on boards for private collectors
as well as designing graphics for his company Bulldog Skates.
