Photographer and filmmaker. Whether one regards his films as
a tragic reflection of the state of disenfranchised youth, or
exploitative trash that actually encourages the questionable
behavior he claims to spotlight, Larry Clark has forced an entire
generation to pause and consider their relationships to each
other. A photographer long before he moved into filmmaking,
Clark published portfolios 'Tulsa' (1971) and 'Teenage Lust'
(1983). Clark moved into motion pictures with the highly controversial
'KIDS' (1995) and 'Ken Park' (2003). Larry Clark’s photographs
have been exhibited internationally including exhibitions at
the Whitney Museum and the MOCA.
